June Green Tips: Part 1
Green Tips, provided by Melody Owen of Ethical Consumer…
Put your purchasing dollars to work for the planet.
My children and I were walking along when suddenly they both froze. No matter what I said they stood stalk still, not a sound. And then I heard it: the ice truck. Summer is upon us and our thoughts are turning to summer vacation, sunny days, and, of course, ice cream. While you plan your summer excursions, make room for sustainability. Here’s a tip or two…
Green Hotels
Try to book a green hotel near the majority of sites that you want to see and if that proves difficult where you are going, ask the front desk when you arrive not to restock your room each day with sheets, towels and toiletries. Also, ask about a recycling program in the hotel so you can recycle while away. If they don’t have one, suggest they implement one.
We hope you enjoyed these green tips and remember all the great treasures at hippy grandma for new babies!
